Hey Disney Vacationers! Disneyland is turning 70 in 2025, and this milestone celebration is set to be one of the most exciting in the park’s history. Starting May 16, 2025, Disneyland will launch its 70th Anniversary Celebration, lasting a full 16 months through Summer 2026. Guests can expect special entertainment, exclusive food and drinks, dazzling decorations, limited-edition merchandise, and a few surprises along the way…like Coco joins it’s a small world.
Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration Highlights
Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary will honor seven decades of magic with a resort-wide transformation. Sleeping Beauty Castle will be adorned with a new medallion and vibrant decorations, while Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends will debut brand-new outfits in Town Square, specially designed for the occasion.
Coco Joins it’s a small world
One of the most exciting changes is coming to the beloved attraction it’s a small world. Starting April 25, 2025, guests will find Miguel and his alebrije, Dante, from the Pixar film Coco, featured in the Mexico scene of the attraction. Miguel will be seen silhouetted by a beautiful marigold bridge, seamlessly blending into the attraction’s iconic style. This update pays tribute to Disney’s continued efforts to celebrate cultures and stories that resonate with fans worldwide.
More Anniversary Magic on Attractions
Disneyland is adding special touches to select attractions as part of the anniversary celebration:
- Toy Story Midway Mania! at Disney California Adventure will feature nods to the 70th anniversary as guests compete for high scores in carnival-style games.
- Other attractions are expected to receive subtle updates, offering fresh experiences while maintaining their classic charm.
Exclusive Entertainment, Food, and Merchandise
No Disneyland celebration is complete without exclusive entertainment, themed snacks, and collectible merchandise. While full details are yet to be revealed, guests can anticipate:
