DVC Island Tower

A Journey into the Spirit of Polynesia

At Island Tower, you’ll be transported into a world that embodies the rich cultural heritage of Polynesia and the captivating stories woven into Disney’s storytelling magic. With breathtaking views of the Seven Seas Lagoon, the tower pays homage to nature and the spirit of adventure, all while honoring the original vision for Disney’s Polynesian Resort. Fun fact: the original concept designs included a prominent tower at the resort’s heart, and this latest addition will fulfill that dream while showcasing Polynesian culture through modern Disney magic.

Conveniently Connected to Disney’s Monorail

Island Tower will be a haven for park-goers, with convenient walking access to the Disney Monorail, providing swift transit to both Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. It’s an ideal base for families, couples, or friends looking to explore the wonders of the parks without worrying about complicated transportation logistics.

Inspired Art and Design

As you arrive at Island Tower, be prepared for an artistic treat right from the entrance. The exterior features a stunning depiction of a Manta Ray, a revered Polynesian symbol of freedom, protection, and grace. Within the lobby, a mesmerizing ceiling art panel showcases native wildlife from several Polynesian Islands. Each animal represents the islands’ values and has deep cultural significance.

Disney Imagineering collaborated with over a dozen artists worldwide to create unique pieces for the resort. Look out for preserved moss walls, sculptures crafted from recycled fishing nets, and other artworks rooted in the spirit of conservation and the rich Polynesian cultures. This artistic collaboration will surely make your stay unforgettable.
