How to Prepare for Disney Races

✔️ Sign Up Fast: These races sell out in minutes. Have your runDisney account ready before registration day.
✔️ Train Early: Florida is humid—practice running in heat if you’re not used to it.
✔️ Costume Rules: Dress up, but make sure your outfit follows runDisney’s official costume policy (no masks, capes below the waist, or bulky items).
✔️ Stay On-Site: Disney Resort guests get early race transportation, which helps with those 3 AM wake-up calls.
✔️ Hydrate! Florida races = humidity. Don’t wait until race day to start drinking water.
✔️ Photo Spots: Characters appear along the course—but expect long lines. Want character pics? Arrive early for photos before the race starts.
✔️ Bring a Throwaway Jacket: It’s often cold at the start during the January and February races. Many runners wear an old hoodie and toss it before the race begins.
