The Sanctum Lounge

Hey Disney Vacationers! Alright, let’s talk The Sanctum Lounge. If you’re anything like me—a Disney Cruise Line fan who gets a little too excited when new ship details drop—this one’s gonna grab you. We finally have our first look at The Sanctum Lounge, and it’s a unique twist on what Disney has done at sea before.

This isn’t just another bar with themed drinks. This is Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange. And it’s coming exclusively to the Disney Destiny—a ship already packed with surprises, and this one might be the most intriguing yet.

What Is The Sanctum Lounge?

The Sanctum Lounge is designed after Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum in New York, and let me tell you, this space is going to feel like you stepped right into the multiverse.

Disney describes The Sanctum as a centrally located entertainment parlor. Translation? It’s more than just a lounge—it’s an experience. You’ll find mystical artifacts, symbols from the sorcerers’ Rune Shields, iconic spell books, and yes—even the Cloak of Levitation will make an appearance in the decor.

And if that didn’t get your Marvel-loving heart going, just wait until you hear about the drinks.

What’s on the Menu at The Sanctum Lounge?

This is where things get cool—literally. The Sanctum Lounge will feature entrancing tableside beverage experiences and exclusive menu items that look like they’ve been conjured from another dimension. Here’s a taste (pun fully intended):

Signature Drinks:

  • Circle of the Cosmos
Brunswick Aces Diamonds Gin, verjus blanc, and fresh lemon juice, garnished with a lemon peel spiral.
  • Vapors of Valtorr
Grey Goose Altius Vodka, ginger beer, fresh lime juice, and butterfly pea flower syrup topped with berry-flavored bubbles. (Yes, bubbles. Because sorcery.)

Specialty Bites:

  • Stuffed waffles with custard cream filling
  • Stuffed waffles with mixed berry compote filling

These aren’t your standard cruise ship cocktails. These are crafted, themed, immersive drinks with presentation flair—Disney Cruise Line is clearly taking mixology to the next level here.

Who Can Go to The Sanctum Lounge?

The Sanctum Lounge is open to all ages during various times of the day, just like most Disney Cruise lounges that host family-friendly activities during the day and more adult-focused fun at night. Whether you’re cruising with little sorcerers-in-training or grabbing a nightcap with friends, this lounge is going to fit both vibes.

Plus, I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes the go-to location for Marvel-themed activities on the Disney Destiny. While nothing’s officially announced yet.

Will There Be Collectibles at The Sanctum Lounge?

If you cruised aboard the Disney Treasure, you might remember the Jungle Cruise Boat Tiki Mug served up at the Skipper Society Lounge. That space on the Treasure is the same one The Sanctum will occupy on the Destiny.

So here’s the million-dollar question:
Will The Sanctum Lounge have its own exclusive collectible mug?

Disney hasn’t confirmed anything yet. But based on their recent trends with themed glassware and collectible items, I wouldn’t be shocked if something exclusive drops here too. And yes—I’ll be the one sprinting down the gangway to grab it.

Final Thoughts on The Sanctum Lounge

If you’re sailing on the Disney Destiny—especially after its maiden voyage on November 20, 2025—The Sanctum Lounge is a must-visit. Whether you’re sipping a bubbling cocktail, checking out sorcerer relics, or just soaking up the vibe, this lounge is shaping up to be one of the most exciting new features onboard.

So go ahead, add it to your cruise bucket list now. I already did.
