Universal Studios Hollywood Holiday

Hey Universal fans! Universal Studios Hollywood is turning up the holiday cheer once again, announcing an expanded lineup for the 2024 season. Running from Friday, November 29, 2024, through Monday, January 6, 2025, the holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood are back—this time, with even more festive fun. So, if you’re searching for an unforgettable holiday experience, look no further than Universal Studios Hollywood holiday festivities.

What’s new for 2024? Let’s dive into all the festive goodness, including the exciting addition of Super Nintendo World to the holiday celebrations. Whether you’re a fan of Grinchmas, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, or looking for something fresh and exciting, Universal’s got you covered.

Super Nintendo World Decked Out for the Holidays

For the first time ever, Super Nintendo World is joining the holiday fun. And let me tell you, it’s going to be next-level festive. You’ll be stepping into a Mushroom Kingdom transformed into a holiday wonderland, complete with all your favorite characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad.

The entrance itself sets the tone: a Christmas tree crowned with a Super Star topper, a wreath, and two adorable snowmen—one rocking Mario’s iconic red hat and scarf, the other styled in Luigi’s green gear. And yes, they’re perfect for that must-have holiday photo op.

Once inside, it’s all about the holiday vibe. From themed décor to exclusive holiday merchandise, Super Nintendo World is going all out. And don’t miss the seasonal treats at Toadstool Café. This is your chance to experience the Mushroom Kingdom like never before!

Grinchmas at Universal Plaza: A Who-tacular Celebration

It wouldn’t be the holidays at Universal without Grinchmas. And this year, Universal Plaza is bringing all the Who-liday fun back to life. Step into Who-ville, where the décor is as whimsical and colorful as you’d imagine. This place is buzzing with entertainment, activities, and festive cheer.

Here’s the highlight: The legendary Who-inspired doo-wop singing quartet is back, bringing the sounds of the season with their toe-tapping renditions of Who-liday classics. Their performance is pure joy, and you’ll be swaying along with the Whos and guests alike.

But that’s not all. The 65-foot-tall Grinchmas tree, a signature element of the celebration, will once again stand proudly in Who-ville, decked out in vibrant ornaments and thousands of LED lights. And each night, you can gather around for the tree-lighting ceremony, complete with a magical burst of cascading snow. It’s the kind of holiday magic that’ll make you feel like you’re living in a Dr. Seuss story.

And of course, the Grinch himself will be on hand for photo ops, alongside his loyal dog, Max. Cindy-Lou Who will also be hosting storytime, reading from the beloved “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” And don’t forget to stop by the Who-ville post office to mail a postcard filled with joy and three good deeds!

If you’re looking for a hands-on holiday experience, there’s even a craft station where you can create your own paper ornament to hang on a Grinchmas tree—or take it home as a keepsake. Plus, you can grab some Grinchmas gear and themed sweet treats to complete the experience.

Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: A Spellbinding Holiday

Hogsmeade is already a magical place, but during the holidays, it reaches a whole new level. “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” is an absolute must-see, with twinkling lights, garlands, and wreaths transforming the village into a winter wonderland.

The Frog Choir will be back with their a cappella performances, delivering those classic holiday tunes with a magical twist. And as you wander through the village, you’ll find plenty of enchanting gifts and keepsakes in the shops—perfect for any witch or wizard on your holiday shopping list.

No trip to Hogsmeade is complete without a cup of Butterbeer™—especially during the holidays. Choose from hot, cold, or frozen options and indulge in the holiday flavors. And if you’re feeling hungry, Three Broomsticks™ is serving up seasonal holiday fare that’ll warm your heart.

But the real showstopper? “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle,” a nightly light projection show that brings the castle to life with holiday magic. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a festive day in the Wizarding World.

Universal CityWalk: Lights, Music, and More

The holiday celebrations don’t stop at the park! Universal CityWalk Hollywood is getting in on the action with its own holiday festivities. A massive 40-foot-tall Christmas tree, illuminated with over 200,000 LED lights, will be the centerpiece of the decor, making it the perfect spot for some holiday snaps.

And for those looking to keep the party going, CityWalk will feature live bands, DJ performances, and street performers at the 5 Towers stage on select nights. The holiday vibes here are off the charts, so make sure you leave time to soak it all in.

Whether you’re a fan of the Grinch, Mario, or wizards, the Universal Studios Hollywood holiday celebration is bringing something for everyone this season. From new additions like Super Nintendo World to fan-favorites like Grinchmas and the Wizarding World, 2024 is the year to experience Universal Studios’ holiday magic at its best.

Plan your visit starting Friday, November 29, 2024, and get ready to immerse yourself in festive fun through Monday, January 6, 2025. Happy holidays!
