Drone Show at Disney World

Hey there, Disney fans! Have you heard the latest buzz about the drone shows lighting up the night skies? Well, let me fill you in on something exciting that’s happening, especially for those of us who can’t get enough of the Disneyland Paris drone show. Let’s explore the potential of a drone show at Disney World.

The masterminds behind the breathtaking drone displays at Disneyland Paris, Dronisos, are spreading their wings and setting up shop in Orlando, Florida. Yep, you heard that right! This award-winning drone company, known for its jaw-dropping aerial spectacles, is bringing its magic closer to Disney World.

Dronisos, which started its journey in Bordeaux, France, back in 2016, is not just expanding for the sake of it. They’re adopting what they call a “multi-local” approach. This means they’re not just opening offices but creating local hubs complete with drone fleets, operational teams, and experts who know the ins and outs of the legal and administrative stuff in each area. Pretty cool, right?

Now, let’s talk about what makes Dronisos stand out. They’re not just about pretty lights in the sky. They’ve developed their own software and technologies to ensure that their shows are not just visually stunning but also super precise, reliable, and safe. That’s a big deal when you’re orchestrating a sky-full of drones!

The Orlando office is a first for Dronisos in the U.S. It’s more than just a workspace; it’s an airbase where they can test and show off their drone choreographies. Imagine being invited to one of those demonstrations – it’s like getting a sneak peek into the future of entertainment!

The man steering the ship in Orlando is CEO Laurent Perchais. He moved there in 2023 and is working closely with a local team. He’s like the ambassador of Dronisos in North America, but he’s still keeping a hand in what’s happening back in France.

Now, for the juicy part – what does this mean for Disney World? While we’re all eagerly waiting for a nighttime drone show at Disney World, it seems Universal Orlando Resort might beat them to it. There’s a bit of a buzz that Disney World turned down drones for their new Luminous nighttime spectacular at EPCOT. But hey, never say never in the world of Disney magic!

One of the coolest things about drone shows? They’re way cheaper than fireworks! Dronisos says a fully choreographed, customized drone show could cost less than $100,000 for a 12-14 minute spectacle. That’s a fraction of what fireworks cost.

Dronisos isn’t new to the game. They’ve already dazzled audiences with over 1,000 performances at Disneyland Paris, racking up more than 20,000 flight hours. Remember the Bastille Day show with nearly 1,500 drones creating iconic Paris landmarks in the sky? That was them!

So, while we’re waiting to see those drones dance in the skies above Disney World, let’s keep our fingers crossed and our eyes peeled for the magic that Dronisos is sure to bring. Who knows, maybe the next time you’re gazing up at the night sky in Orlando, you’ll be witnessing a spectacular drone show that’ll take your breath away!
