Officially Sold Out: Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
Hey there, Disney Vacation Club members! I’ve got some news to share. Remember when Disney Vacation Club (DVC) announced a new phase for the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort? Well, it’s been quite the rollercoaster ride since then!
About twenty months ago, DVC threw open the doors for an additional phase of their resort development at the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. And guess what? They’ve just announced that the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian are completely sold out again. Yep, you heard that right!
Here’s a quick trip down memory lane: In 2022, the Big Pine Key building underwent a magical transformation, turning over two hundred hotel rooms into dreamy DVC villas. And even though it’s been almost ten years since the resort’s first introduction, DVC decided to sprinkle some pixie dust and reopen point sales for the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
The journey wasn’t all smooth sailing, though. At first, there was a massive wave of eager buyers rushing in. But then, things took a twist. For about half a year, the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort played second fiddle to Disney’s Riviera Resorts in the sales department.
But, as they say, every cloud has a silver lining. Summer 2023 brought with it some irresistible pricing that had DVC members buzzing and buying. The result? A massive comeback! By October 30, DVC let their team know that the resort was officially off the market.
Now, if you’re feeling a tad bit of FOMO, don’t fret. DVC still has some magic up its sleeve with three other resorts open for business: Disney’s Riviera Resort, Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, and The Villas at Disneyland Hotel.
And here’s a little insider tip: Even though the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian are “sold out,” DVC sometimes gets points back through foreclosures or by exercising its Right of First Refusal. But, a heads up – prices for the points might be heading north soon, and those tempting promotional offers for the resort? They might just disappear.
So, whether you’re a seasoned DVC member or just dreaming of your next magical stay, it’s always a good idea to keep an ear to the ground for the latest DVC updates. Who knows what surprises are around the corner?
