Future Frontierland Projects

Hey there, Disney fans! If you’re as excited about the future of Frontierland as I am, you’re in for a treat. Disney World has hinted at significant growth and investment in its theme parks, and Frontierland is no exception. So, let’s dive into what’s coming up, including the much-anticipated Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and some speculative fun about what else might be in store, as it relates to potential future Frontierland projects!

Country Bear Musical Jamboree: A Beloved Classic’s Update

Before we jump into the bayou, let’s talk about a Frontierland classic – the Country Bear Jamboree, soon to be the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. While the details are still under wraps, Disney has given a glimpse of the update for this beloved attraction. The Jamboree has been a staple of Frontierland since its inception, and it’s thrilling to think about how Disney might enhance this classic while preserving its charm and nostalgia. Stay tuned for more updates on how the Country Bears will continue to entertain us in new and exciting ways!

Disney World’s Commitment to Frontierland

Disney World’s most recent statement teases more than just Tiana’s Bayou Adventure as the only future Frontierland project. Previously they’ve mentioned “a lot of growth and investment planned for our theme parks in the coming years,”. Now specifically pointing to Frontierland they’ve stated “look forward to sharing more announcements about Frontierland … so y’all come back now, ya hear?”. This suggests that we can expect more than just the current projects. Perhaps new attractions, dining experiences, or even entirely new lands could be part of Frontierland’s future. Disney’s commitment to innovation and magic means we’re likely to see some exciting developments in this beloved area of the park.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: A Glimpse into the Magic

Now, let’s talk about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. This project is already in the works, and it’s shaping up to be an unforgettable experience. Disney recently gave us a sneak peek into this attraction, and it’s clear they’re pulling out all the stops. Imagineers are meticulously crafting a scene featuring a quaint cabin set against a lush bayou backdrop, straight out of a fairy tale.

The backstory is as rich as New Orleans cuisine. Our beloved Princess Tiana, inspired by her parents’ entrepreneurial spirit and love for cooking, has expanded her culinary empire with Tiana’s Foods. This cooperative venture includes a boutique farm, a working and teaching kitchen, and even a line of original hot sauces!

The adventure picks up after the final kiss in the animated film, with Tiana hosting a Mardi Gras celebration. There’s a mix-up with the party preparations, and we’re called to join Tiana at her company to find the missing ingredient. It’s a journey into the bayou, accompanied by familiar faces from the film, blending Disney magic with the heart and soul of New Orleans.

Beyond the Magic Kingdom: Expanding Horizons

Moving beyond Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Disney is also strongly hinting at expanding the Magic Kingdom. This expansion would transport visitors beyond the realms of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland. Imagine a new land incorporating the vibrant worlds of Coco, Encanto, and Disney Villains. While still in the early concept stages, this expansion promises to immerse visitors in enchanting experiences, like exploring the Casa Madrigal or embarking on adventures with the Alebrijes of Coco.

A New Twist on Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe

There’s also buzz about the Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe potentially being rethemed to a Princess and the Frog quick service, similar to Tiana’s Palace replacing the French Market Restaurant at Disneyland. This transformation would bring the flavors and charm of New Orleans to Frontierland, offering a unique dining experience that ties in beautifully with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade: A Bayou Twist?

Lastly, let’s talk about the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade. In my opinion, it would be fantastic to see this attraction updated and rethemed to something associated with the New Orleans bayou, perhaps an interactive fishing hole. This would not only refresh the arcade but also integrate it more seamlessly with the new bayou-themed attractions, and potentially the rethemeing of Pecos Bill.

The future of Frontierland at Disney World is brimming with excitement and potential. From Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to the potential expansion of the Magic Kingdom and the reimagining of classic attractions, there’s so much to look forward to. So, as Disney World says, “y’all come back now, ya hear?” because the adventure is just beginning!
